North Beach has been rather quiet. Yesterday evening we saw 6 Pallas's Gulls and after we left the beach Tapio Tuomenoja and Aarne Ohtonen saw a flock of 10 Oystercatchers. Could be the biggest flock ever recorded in Eilat. Today evening there was nothing worth mentioning.
New passerines arrive daily. First Eastern Orphean Warblers, Cretzschmar's Buntings and Redstarts have been ringed. Also first Nigth Herons and Little Bitterns have arrived to our lake. Rüeppell's Warblers seem to have a good year. We have ringed over 10 of them already.
Two days ago I went to Holland Park for short afternoon trip with Re'a and we saw two Subalpine Warbler males that has been found in the same morning. This week we also went to short night tour with Noam who was guiding for a couple of days in Eilat area. We had amazing views of female Hume's Owl, thanks to Noam for this trip!
