Barn Owl!

Today was the best ringing day so far this season with 130 birds ringed. Nothing very exciting was caught during the morning but in the evening Yotam brought this nice Barn Owl from the trap round. I got a ringing tick and also new species for my Israeli list! Thanks Yotam!! I've waited so long to see this amazing owl in hand..

First Bird Festival day didn't offer anything mega, some Cyprus Wheatears and Bimaculated Larks etc basic stuff. Tomppa, Jände and Juha saw a Buff-bellied Pipit and Oriental Skylark in Yotvata and those were the best birds for the day. In the evening North Beach was packed with Finnish birdwatchers. Nice to see that Eilat is in again..
