Some new migrants

First good curruca morning was yesterday. New birds were clearly around and it seemed that every bush held some currucas making typical calls. Among them we ringed some Rüeppells and Eastern Olivaceous warblers. Some Penduline Tits were also nice birds caught during last days.

Today came strong southern wind which lasted only for a half day but still brought first Skuas to North Beach. Me and Re'a saw one Arctic Skua in the afternoon and later Itai saw six distant Skuas more. All he could id were also Arctics. Also some flocks of Slender-billed Gulls arrived, I counted 650 birds near the beach in the afternoon.

Raptors have not passed in numbers but a couple of days ago we saw around 250 Steppe Eagles and one nice adult Eastern Imperial Eagle among them.
