Today I was ringing with Annika in my feeding place in Helsinki. We had very snowy conditions and the nets were not working very well because of so white bushes and trees around the nets. Still we caught twenty Bullfinches (
Pyrrhula pyrrhula) in addition to a couple of Blue and Great Tits. I was a little surprised to have so many Bullfinches in a one feeding place. The best individual among those was an adult female that I had ringed at the same place last winter.
First pictures of a 2nd cy female (above) and an adult female (below). This adult female is known to be a 3rd cy bird from the ring. Notice the differences in colour of carpal covert, alula feathers (best seen in AL1) and primary coverts.
